The location of this backpackers lodge is absolutely mind-blowing! Surrounded by majestic mountains, it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. The cooking facilities here are super convenient for both campers and lodgers. The property is large and has plenty of parking spaces, making it really easy to get around. The lively atmosphere and friendly staff create a really enjoyable experience. The bungalow we stayed in was jaw-droppingly beautiful and clean. Although the shared bathrooms weren't the cleanest, it's understandable for a hostel. But honestly, we should have stayed longer because this place is a haven for relaxation. With a great view of the Drakensberg, a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, climbing wall. Plus, you can even book trips directly through them. From the free Wi-Fi in public areas to the outdoor dining area, fitness center, and game room, this place has it all. And the added extras like pedicures, massages, and board games make it even better. The staff is super helpful and accommodating, and the 24-hour reception and security add an extra level of comfort. this lodge exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to come back again!

We loved the beautiful setting with stunning mountain views and great facilities including a pool and a bar. The hotel also offers guided hikes for a reasonable price to the Northern Drakensberg area, with the second highest waterfalls in the world. The staff was friendly and informative, and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. We also appreciated the easy transportation to this remote location.
Nothing.

We recently stayed at a lodge on the edge of the Drakensberg mountains and had a fantastic time. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the mountains. We chose a room with a cozy fireplace, which added a lovely touch to our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The basic amenities provided everything we needed, and the rooms with twin beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in our stay, and we enjoyed a delicious meal to start our day.
Although our stay was pleasant, there was one small issue that could be improved. The bathroom could use an update, as the facilities were showing signs of wear and tear.

Nestled between choking cities, this backpackers lodge is a hidden gem located in the Northern Drakensberg area. With close proximity to national parks and hiking trails, the location is perfect for nature enthusiasts. the facilities are top-notch and offer a range of activities from bouldering to ping pong. the communal area has gas stoves, pots, pans and you can even buy an ice cream or chocolate from the reception.
The dinner menu can be quite expensive but there are plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from.

Had a great New Year's weekend away hiking in the mountains. The location was amazing, with stunning views and a convenient starting point for a hike. The outdoor facilities were well-maintained and provided a great atmosphere for hanging out with friends. I also appreciated the knowledgeable staff who gave us useful hiking tips.
Though our room was comfy, the hot water supply was not reliable and we had to make do with cold showers some days. The lack of sufficient heating during winter made for a chilly stay, which was a downside.

Spent Xmas holiday in a backpacker's lodge in the Drakensberg Mountains. It was one of my best holidays ever! Really enjoyed the guided full-day hikes offered by the lodge, which were worth the price. the lodge was situated in scenic countryside in close proximity to some great hiking trails and adventure activities. the delicious complementary food and comfy bedding provided by the friendly staff were just awesome!
It was quite far from the nearest shops or villages, with none closer than 20km away. the public transport to the place was sketchy and somewhat difficult to locate.
